Make PvP worth pursuing
Seeking fights offers too little reward, while carrying the gear you win makes movement more punishing.
Proposed changes
- Make recovered player gear worth taking.
A defeated player’s gear can be worth less per slot than ordinary barter items while weighing much more. Winning a fight should offer rewards competitive with questing, collecting toolbox items or farming AI. The risk of taking on a geared player should be reflected in the value of the gear or rewards earned.
- Increase how much players can carry, like in Softcore.
Softcore raised the overweight threshold by 50% and reduced how strongly carried weight affected inertia. Use that approach to let players carry the loot they earned and keep moving after a successful fight. BSG’s Softcore weight changes
- Give players valuable loot to contest.
The recent Tarcoin event made PvP around Chek 15 feel like old Streets again. Players rushed it every raid to fight for the loot, and the winner got a big payout.
- Give players enough time to respond when a fight starts.
Reduce aim punch, remove neck and throat hitboxes, and test 5–10 seconds of adrenaline after taking fire so players can react and reach cover. Early in the season, class 4 armor against low-penetration ammo should also make fights last longer.
- Speed up skill progression so players can spend more of the season enjoying PvP with their developed PMC.
